    I am a long time XBL subscriber. In almost one month's time, I have been suspended from Xbox Live communications twice (both times the only enforcement actions I've ever received). First was a 24 hour suspension which I know (somewhat) why: several days
    prior, i joined a Looking For Group for battlefield 1 who's host listed specifically "adults only", yet only kids were joining for almost a full hour until finally the host made fun of one of them (only one other random player was joining him in teasing the
    kid, the rest of us were silent just waiting for a match to begin) . The kid he made fun of was kicked from the party, then he messaged the host saying he had everyone in his friends list who were online at the time; reported everyone in the party. Sure enough
    not 24 hrs later, the party host was the first ti recieve enforcement action and was able to inform us just moments before losing privileges. This was my first offense so i only got a 24 hour suspension from social services.

    The 2nd time im still dealing with and should be up in approximately 24hrs but is a 2 week suspension, which I have no idea how or why i got it. But on the 12th i had a seizure and spent a week recovering (they are not due to video games, thats a different
    type of seizure, fyi). I logged back in on the 18th and seen another enforcement action had been applied to mu account even though i hadn't been online in a week, but hadnt used chat in almost two weeks. Heres where it gets extremely irritating....

    So i tried to get them to review and lift the suspension obviously. Unlike the first time this happened, this time the website required me to fill out a questionnaire before submitting my request which was suppose to contain questions related to my suspension,
    but wasnt seemed to be limited whatsoever to any questions. It was asking such irrelevant questions - some of which were not on the CoC. Anyway, i failed the first 2 tries (1 wrong answer counts as a failed attempt. Only 3 attempts are permitted. When you
    fail one try, it adds 2 additional questions to the next attempts) the third attempt i accidentally refreshed the page, which also counts as a failed attempt, thus putting me on a 24 hour suspension restricting another attempt on the questionnaire. Finally
    that suspension lifted 24 hrs later and i successfully answered the questionnaire, with my last question being "are you a fair/good player?" I got stuck on this one for a moment since the right answer would be no since it was a question i had to answer because
    of a punishment. I ended up answering yes, passing the questionnaire so i was finally able to message the enforcement team (which i didn't know you could only do one time per suspension case) and limited how much you could send in the message. It took over
    24 hours for themcto reply. When they did they said the enforcement team has no limitations (literally their words), and that when reviewing a case they look ANYWHERE in the player's chat history for any offenses, and naturally like 98% of console gamers i
    had some chat argument MONTHS (if not years) ago which violated the code of conduct (yet they didnt do anything against the other players who i was chatting with who also violated the same rules). Because of this, my suspension wouldnt be lifted and i didnt
    have the option to send another message to the team.

    Obviously i contacted customer support several times during all this (before, during and after). Ultimately the support reps (multiple reps spoken to) told me the enforcement team is literally separate from customer support - enforcement is a department
    of their own - not even a supervisor could do anything or even put me in contact with enforcement. Meaning that one way of requesting a case review is the one and only way to contact them and you only get one message to send and receive!

    So thats the situation i am still dealing with which resulted in this post. But the Code of Conduct does have many flaws itself directly:

    1. (perhaps most absurd) players cannot scream at one another. (lol do the microsoft members not play video games or what? Because this is so common that if truly enforced then there would be no xbox live because everyone would be banned for yelling lol)

    2. Multiple times the CoC mentions other rules may not be listed in the Code of Conduct page but will be enforced (basically) (umm... Details of every rule which could result in suspension or ban would be nice microsoft!...****)

    3. Anyone can repor anyone for anything without the report being looked into before actions are already enforced. Perfect example: im 26 years old, suspended from communications for almost an entire month without valid cause by a player under 18 who I was
    playing the same game with - a game rated M which the player couldnt even purchase because of his age!!!! All it takes for a suspension to start is enough players sending reports against the same player. If enough people report the same person, action is immediately
    set in motion. According to my reply to the current suspension, the enforcement team doesnt even check the report validity until a request for appeal is submitted and the questionnaire passed! Let me say that again, a kid can suspend an adult (without cause)
    for player content among a game he isnt even allowed to purchase without a guardian!

    EVEN CUSTOMER SUPPORT REPS AGREED THE SYSTEM IS FLAWED AND ILLOGICAL!!!

    I would suggest that Canadians stopp purchasing live points and any other products that Microsoft sells.

    The points system is severely flawed.

    It all depends, on how severely you breached, either or both of the Xbox Live Terms of Use or Code of Conduct..

    Its not flawed and cs has.no say in enforcement issues nor do they have access to any Network data lol OK let's dispells all your myths

    1 all Online interactions regardless of service must.be rated e for everyone.

    This blows.away most of.your argument

    Excess noise.is a violation of.the terms of.use

    I.suggesr you read the code of conduct as it is spelled out quite clearly

    2 game rating is for game.content not Online interaction

    A game.isnt a human being

    You maybe playing a m rated game but you must conduct yourself accordingly in a rated e manner

    3rd no false reports are ignored and marks against any filers accuracy report and can lead to a suspension of said filer

    However what you don't get is cursing is a violation and a severe one of the terms of use

    It doesn't matter the game content

    M rating only affects who can buy and does NOT affect or prevent underage players and nor is there restrictions on playing

    Only adults only content is restricted in that way

    Case review for communication ban

    I follow the code of conduct buddy, but the flawed system of reports makes it to where it does not matter if you follow the code of conduct, one report and you are banned

    Flawed logic. Not reporting violators only make the abuse get worse.

    Just follow the Code of Conduct, it is that simple.

    What is the flaw? The proper response would be to report the abusive chat and block communications with the user, who you had stated was "toxic". The Code of Conduct states that users should not respond to inappropriate conduct with more inappropriate
