Several Issues with Xbox Live (360)

I started experiencing some serious issues yesterday. When I first cut on my 360 and attempted to sign in to my Live profile it prompted me to enter my email address and password, which it never has before. I then received an error code (80072741). I
connected the console directly to my modem and it finally went through. I then reconnected it wirelessly and everything looked normal until I started a game of Diablo 3. I was signed in and when my wife attempted to sign in with her offline profile, as always,
it suddenly kicked me out and left her signed in. This has never happened before. I tried several times but kept getting the same result. I made the mistake of deleting her profile (profile only) but since it is not a Live profile I was unable to download
it. Her save game information now shows up with an unknown status and I assume that there's no way to retrieve it. Which seems odd that there's no work around for this. I created a new profile for her and experienced the exact same issue. It will occasionally
boot me out otherwise and ask for the security and I have to reset my router to temporarily remedy this. It's been a real mess to say the least. 3 hours down the drain last night with no resolution.

Did the 360 have issues early on?

I didn't start playing on xbox live until Call of Duty 4. My experience with the 360 was near flawless over the course of several years. Games always loaded. Parties were simple and reliable. My controller and headset didn't randomly stop working mid
game. I have had more issues with my xbox one in one year than I had with my 360 in seven years. Everyone I've talked to on my friends list has had the same issues and is wondering the same thing.

Will theses issues be ironed out with more time?

Did the 360 have similar issues early on in it's life cycle?

Why was the 360 more simple and reliable than the newer, more powerful gaming system?

This isn't an xbox one hate thread. I'm an xbox fan. I plan on playing xbox one for several years. I'm just wondering what I should expect going forward.

 

29 hours and not fixed how is this possible

I can't read the bios and my friends Friends List for several friends, on the Xbox 360 Dashboard. Friends List on Xbox 1 is loading OK. This is what you call an issue with CORE Xbox Live stuff (issues with friends list, Gamerscore, notifications, parties).
They should get around to fixing it soon tho.

 

We were experiencing the exact same issues last night. Even though it shows me successfully connected to the internet I have to reset the router and cross my fingers and hope it will let me sign in to my live account. Still a no go on Diablo 3 too. Once
I do sign in to my account and then attempt to also sign in to my wife's offline profile in game it signs me out immediately. For some reason it no longer allows us both to be signed in for co-op play. I hope they get this fixed soon. This is a little frustrating.
The last system update has really messed things up!
