Several games won't install via disk on my Xbox one s

Are you talking about a digital install or a disk install ?

If disk install then it won't work on the xbox series s you need the digital copy either buy one or get gamepass

Well first xbox series s wont install disk games. It will only play digital bought games not disk games you need a non digital console like xbox one )not digital editions ) or series x

Second you need patches for upgraded games especially for the compression chip and you would get the appropriate files for the series s via smart delivrry if compatible

If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them

If you using previously installed games from a disk it won't work

Series s console only works with digital games only

Hey, is it scratches or laser burn?

If scratches you can get the disk repaired at various different games stores e.g GameStop, Blockbuster etc.

If its laser burn, depending on the severity of it you can still play the disk if you can install the game to your xbox via another copy of the game (borrow from a friend or rent from a store).

Also, does the console do this to any other disks or was it just this one occurence?
