Settings and no A select button

Discus and support Settings and no A select button in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My son screwed up the settings on my Xbox one now I can't use the A button to select anything...how do I fix this?     Settings and no A select button


    My son screwed up the settings on my Xbox one now I can't use the A button to select anything...how do I fix this? I've tried unplugging everything and holding the power button for 10 seconds..:nothing!! Ugh!!! Help?!?!?

    Windows Media Center not needed or wanted

    try this:

    Steps on your Xbox 360 console

    In the System Settings section of the Xbox Dashboard, select Computers.

    Select Windows Media Center, and then press the A button.

    Select Disconnect.

    Press the B button repeatedly until you return to the System Settings section.

    If the Xbox 360 console has a hard drive or a memory card, move to the System Settings section, and then select Memory.

    Select Hard Drive or Memory Card, select Games, and then select your profile.

    Select Xbox 360 Dashboard, and then select Windows Media Center.

    Select Delete, and then press the A button.

    Press the B button repeatedly until you return to the System Settings section.

    1.Press the Xbox button to return to the Home screen.

    2.Press the Menu button and select Settings (or select Settings on the Home screen).

    3.Select the family member’s account whose settings you want to change, and then select Custom privacy template.

    4.Change the Buy and download setting.

    I clicked New when I started the game,but I had to stop the game with the escape button to go out on a errand.What button on the XBox controller should I have pressed to stop(pause) the game?How do I restart the game?Will it restart from where I left off?I have the game down loaded on my laptop.Should I not ever stop a game?Thank you.

    To start a new single-player game, just open the game, wait for it to load, and from the menu click on new, this will create a new save for you, for that click the A button on the Xbox control over the option to then load the new game.

    For further information regarding the usage of the controller you can check => Get to know your Xbox One Wireless Controller | Xbox Support. As for the in-game playing instructions manual, generally each game lists its instructions once you join the servers but it would be best to post on the game developer's official pages for suggestions from other previous players.

    It's been a long time but if I remember you need to try these steps:

    2. Select Console Settings, and then press the A button.

    3. Select Display, and then press the A button.

    4. Select PAL settings, and then press the A button.

    5. Select PAL-60, and then press the A button.

    6. When you are prompted to keep these new settings, confirm the settings, and then press the A button.

    Try this:

    Press the Xbox button.

    Move right to the System Tab.

    Scroll down and select Settings.

    Scroll down to Network.

    Select Network Settings.

    Scroll down and select Advanced Settings.

    Scroll down and select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select the Clear button, then restart your console.

    And also:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller.

    Go to Settings.

    Select Network.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Network Settings.

    Select DNS Settings.

    Select Manual and enter the following: Primary 8.8.8.8. Secondary 8.8.4.4.
