    Remote Codes for attached Devices

Thanks both - Azzin, I got to the mute test and thought it wouldn't work for a PJ, didn't realise that there were more tests to follow, so will try that.

Cheers batfinkus - will keep plugging away at other JVC PJ models - there's a couple of the newer X models so will try them.

Also came across this - Device Codes (by code) - Remotes Homepage - at work so don't know if this will help anyone, but they certainly look like 4-digit remote control codes to me! Will try all and report back.

    Cheers,

    Mark

@f00xm4n. Good point about the Kinect having IR I forgot about that. Major Nelson has done an unboxing of the Xbox One (its on YouTube) and he foes mention the Kinect can do IR blasting (whatever that is)

    [/quote]

IR Blasting basically means the K2 can emit an IR signal that mimics the one your remote control uses to control your tv or cable box, so you'll be able to set up the Xbox One with K2 to control your TV or Cable box so you want have to keep switch or picking

If you are using the rogers box then you should contact them to find out what the remote code is. As for your TV and/or stereo system you could try the manufacturers website or have the system automatically detect them.

Just bought a new LG TV, now my xbox one won't turn it on or off

    Hey there P155FLAPZZ!

Sorry to hear about the issue. Keep in mind that not every TV is coded to work with this feature. I recommend visiting the Remote Code Look Up page to grab the proper TV Remote Code for your TV. Once
you get the remote code, you can enter it in the TV Set Up screen on your Xbox One. To do that, follow the steps below:

    • Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
    • In the Settings menu, go to 'Power & startup'.
    • Select 'TV & A/V power options' to get to the TV set up screen.
    • From here, set up your TV and manually enter in the remote code.
Post back and let us know if that helps! :D

One Guide Unable to Change Channels

In my set up of one guide, the Xbox auto detected the set top box and TV and automatically inputted the remote codes, so yes. Is that what you are asking?

Xbox One Turning On Wrong TV

The reason for this is the Xbox controls the TV's via an infrared signal emitted by the Kinect sensor. Because you have a Vizio at home, the kinect is calibrated and using the remote code for Vizio products, which makes it control the Vizio tv. You must
go through the TV and OneGuide troubleshooting to reset the device and set it up if you use a different tv.
