Setting up xbox one console, problems with network/update

Ive reset the whole thing and it says ive already been connected to a network but thats impossible. Only option to select is okay so i press it. Then i go to the next step which is update, it fails and gives me a network code. When i try ti test connection
it freezes and when i go to view my wireless network it doesnt show up!

Having issues trying to update my console

Ive connecting it to my wireless internet 4 times and of course the 4th time it connected, but now with my update its been stuck on 7% as it said “sit tight while we uodate your Xbox”

okay so i’ve waited and i gave 1 of 3 downloading with 356MB remaining and i’m still stuck on that 7%

You really should make your own thread (post) so replies are tailored to your specific issue.

Anyway, it looks like you are losing your network (wireless) connection while the update is downloading. It may be WiFi interference.

Try connecting a wired ethernet cable from your console to network gateway and start the update again.

It should contiue the download, step 1, then verify, step 2 and then the console will restart to complete applying, step 3.

Have patience while step 3 completes and all being well it will return to the Home screen.

Sounds like you need to power cycle your network hardware before turning on console.

Try wired ethernet connection to your network gateway.

If I'm truly understanding your problem ... it's two different things. If you're setting up a new console, you can back up your network settings to a file that's stored on your external drive, so when you plug it in as your new console is being readied,
it'll bring in all those settings. That does not replace any need for console updates. Details:

Now, you would probably want to do an offline console update first. This doesn't need online verification at first:

Lastly, is this just a hypothetical scenario, or are you setting up a console in an unstable network environment?
