Setting up xbox live account

Every time I put my email password birthday and I confirm my xbox live account it gives me an error why is this happening I just got this for xmas refurbished and I dont understand y it says theres an error when it set me up an windows account but when
I go to try to add music or apps it says I need to sign in or sign up for an xbox live account but I did when I first turned it on but it gave me 80 something code can someone explain why it's doing this. And explain to me what the difference to an xbox live
account and my account I set up with windows cuz I got the emailed and verified it... al a.d o when I look at the name under the hardware eff it has a different name I've never seen but nothing on it....please help I'm jew at all this

what happens when you login to your account at xbox.com?

If there is an Xbox Live Account based on your Microsoft Account it show there and allow you to sign in.

Regarding the console, please try this:

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

After that try signing in to your account on the console, if it shows a different Gamertag then on xbox.com then you might have to Download the correct Xbox Live Account on the console, via the steps mentioned here:

Hello there, if the password is working on the web and not the console it might that you have two-step verification enabled which means there is an app password that has been created to sign-in on the console. Please follow the link for full steps and to
see if you have two-step enabled:

While you're at it, I also suggest making sure your security proofs are verified, follow the link for full steps on adding and verifying security proofs, this will need to be done if you haven't already:

If it's still throwing up errors after you've done the above, delete the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download the profile.

Delete and re-download profile:

Clear system cache:

it depends on the game if it will allow online multiplayer for multiple users on the same console at the same time. Some games have the option to do, other games only have the option for one player to do online multiplayer games at a time.

Be aware that each account will require an xbox live gold subscription to be able to do online multiplayer games.

You can check the region of the accounts here: account.live.com/EditProf.aspx

But keep in mind that any gamertag gets linked to that country on creation, so changing the country afterwards of the account will not change the country on the gamertag.
