    Setting Up Telstra Tbox (2) Voice Controls Through Xbox One


    Hi Everyone,

    I have been having a play today with the OneGuide, Telstra Tbox and my Xbox One. I have had the TV and Amp turning on with the Xbox One for quite a quite a while, but have always had trouble with the Telstra T-Box. Below is how I setup the Tbox to
    work correctly with Xbox one.

    1. Go into settings (My Apps and Games > Apps > Settings)

    2. Go to TV & OneGuide, Then to Device Control

    3. Go to Cable or Satellite Box then, Cable or Satellite Box Setup

    4. Enter "Netbox" in the Brand Box and Go Next

    5. Select “Enter It"

    6. Enter "N8200", go to next. This will now have the T-box connected to the Xbox.

    7. Go to Device Power Options and set both settings for the "Cable or Satellite Box" to "Toggle". Your Telstra Tbox will now turn on when the Xbox is powered up. (You can set that setting for the TV and Amplifier also).

    8. Go Back to the TV and One Guide Settings Screen (Back twice from the Device and Power Options screen)

    9. Go into One Guide and Under HDMI set TV line up to your local area.

    10. Go to TV and Access OneGuide, add the channels you watch to the favorites list (channel must be in list for voice control to change to that channel)

    You should now have the ability to Change Channels via the Xbox One Voice Controls and via OneGuide on Xbox One Smartglass through a compatible device. To Test, go into to TV and say “Xbox Select to view available voice commands.

    On the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, some of the commands the Xbox will accept are:

    Xbox Rewind

    Xbox Watch Nine

    Xbox Watch Gem

    Xbox Pause

    Xbox Play

    Having trouble streaming from router.

    Hi guys, I'm trying to watch video from a hdd that's plugged into my router (technicolor TG587n) I'm using the Xbox video app and it sees the router but for some reason I can only see 40 of my 250 movies, It works perfectly with the Telstra Tbox but I
    would rather use the Xbox Any help would be appreciated Thanks

    HELP!! Ultimate membership says being billed through Telstra!!!

    Still confused as to what happens in September. I have no way to renew it before then as it still says "Billed through Telstra".

    There is no billing through Telstra. Microsoft says there is and Telstra says there isn't.

    It was a one month sub that expired in March and it is still showing as managed through Telstra, I am chasing Telstra again and I am sure they will break everything.

    That's awesome. Thank you for letting me know it worked.

    I have updated my original post with a link to a Reddit post that shows the exact modem setting I was speaking of in case anyone else is faced the same issue, using that particular Telstra 5G modem.

    I would still like to know why IPv6 doesn't play well with Xbox through Telstra 5G but that's probably a question I need to ask Telstra.

    That's the telstra service, not the model. Anyway usually with this kind of issues (if possible since I assume you got a devide from telstra which may have limitations in the settings available, check with them eventually) possible
    solutions are to disable teredo filter in the router, open ports specifically for MS gaming services or setting up a DMZ even if that is not usually recommended security wise on a PC.

    Telstra model are usually available at telstra.gateway/ for configuration, try that or look for the correct one for your device.
