Setting up new Xbox for my child

To change your son's account, you'll want to choose that option to Add. It'll ask if you want to create a new account or to sign into an account that has already been created. So you'll just sign into the account you created for him and it will add it to the console.

You do not have to enter the password every time you turn on the console. Under settings there's an option to change sign-in preferences and you can change that option.

If the games are already installed on the console, you don't have to redownload them.

I was able to add my son's account on the console but when we log into his account and try to select the games which I downloaded via the Xbox Unlimited Game Pass, it says 'The person who bought this needs to sign in'. I'm given the options to select 'see in Microsoft store', ' cancel' and 'open troubleshooter'. 'See in Microsoft Store' didn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

It will not accept new email account I set up for second child

It sounds like that account is set up as an adult account. Adult accounts cannot changed to a child account. Your only option is to create a new child account for your son. he will lose progress, as he will have to start his games again on his new
account.

My account which his gamertag is set up on is an adult account. Surely there must be a way of moving Gamertags between accounts?!? I've set up a child account for him but just need to move his gamertag.

Creating a new gamertag or losing the progress on his current one is really not an option.....

Is the phone for a child or for an adult?
