    Setting up live account

I have attempted multiple times to set up a xbox live account on my new xbox 360 and getting nowhere. If I chose the option to download a profile, it tells me the password is incorrect. If I chose to set up a new account it tells me the email account is
already assigned to another xbox. I know it's not the wrong password because I was able to sign into this forum with the account as well as sign into email for this account with the password that I entered.

THIS IS BEYOND FRUSTRATING AND A MAJOR IRRITANT that I have spent hours trying to get something set up.

    :)

    Hi there,

it depends on the game if it will allow online multiplayer for multiple users on the same console at the same time. Some games have the option to do, other games only have the option for one player to do online multiplayer games at a time.

Be aware that each account will require an xbox live gold subscription to be able to do online multiplayer games.

I have xbox360 and want to set up live accounts for my kids. I need to know -- if I set up live accounts for them, can they both sign in and play online at the same time?

    Thanks for any help!

Hello there, if the password is working on the web and not the console it might that you have two-step verification enabled which means there is an app password that has been created to sign-in on the console. Please follow the link for full steps and to
see if you have two-step enabled:

While you're at it, I also suggest making sure your security proofs are verified, follow the link for full steps on adding and verifying security proofs, this will need to be done if you haven't already:

    support.xbox.com/.../add-security-proof

If it's still throwing up errors after you've done the above, delete the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download the profile.

    Delete and re-download profile:

    Clear system cache:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache
