  2. TV input freezing and stuttering!

Depending on what tv you have try enabling "GAME MODE" Then change hd settings to 720p in the Xbox and switch to component hd cables.

    HDMI

    To, DeBalrog and Pauilejoseph.

    Thank you for your replies......

Yes I have tried both suggestions and still get "Mode Not Supported." I have also tried changing the settings blindly, because as you both most likely know the HD settings done come up on the xbox unless the HD cable is connected. My TV has HDMI port 1 and
    3, and port 2 is HDMI/DVI?????????????

  5. Plug in HDMI and have a look through system settings for display options. That's all from memory mind.

It depends what 360 model you're using.

If you have the one of the latest models that has an HDMI port, you need only plug it all in and then go to Settings/System/Console Settings/Display and make sure it's set to one of the HD resolutions. However, by default it should be on auto-discovery,
so the console and TV will between themselves negotiate the best settings that both can run.

If you're using one of the older 360s and a component audio-video cable (red-green-blue video connectors, plus red-white audio) there should be a switch on the cable's 360-end to make it HD. You should change that when the console is off. Then power it on
and go into the Settings to make sure it's set to HD settings.

If the only AV-cable you have is the one with red-white-yellow connectors, this cable is only capable of transmitting a standard definition signal.

  11. Is it a component cable? Like 5 little plugs instead of 3? You can do HD with that. Not with scart, only component or HDMI.
