Setting up daughters account.

I really appreciate how convoluted your forum and live setup is.

All I wanted to do was set up an account for my daughter so that she could play games.

I had not problem setting up her hotmail account with the exception that I was charged 50 cents...WTF?

Now when she tries to access her avatar she is asked for a login and password when she puts this info in she gets the error 80154016.

So I went and loged into live and it asked me for permission to set up her account....not problem.

she still cant sign in, she still gets this 801 blah blah blah error.

You know? I just wanted to be nice to my child, spend time with her on the xbox, but I did not expect to have to jump through so damn many hoops,

At this point in time, take that .50 cents you were going to donate and stick it where the sun does not shine.

I will not longer purchase micro soft products.

Welcome to the club. Did the same thing earlier. well mostly for my kid.

 

Daughters account locked?

Hello,

My Daughters account is locked at the moment.

We received messages about account verification, which she did every time she logged on.

But from today she can't log on at all no more. The only option to verify the account now is by sending a code to one of her email adresses which she hasn't used in years.

She can't remember the email adress or the password for the only account recovery email.

Is there any way to recover this account now??

It doesn't give us a text message option, just the option to send the code to a now lost email account.

We have spent a lot of money on games, etc. and would appreciate help asap.

Why should I have to go through all this, I would rather be playing the game with her, now that we have gone through all this, it is my daughters bed time and she is disappointed. Instead of spending time with her, I have to research and try different things
to see if I can get it working.

Why do we need to do this if we are just playing offline?

 

you don't need to join xbox live to play offline its only when you click join xbox live

goto the console create profile

when asked play offline

the 50 cents is part of the coppa law that has to do with child online protections laws

you don't have much choice about that and is required by law

take it up with your congressman
