    Hi all, I've bought my son a laptop for his birthday and when we try to set up the Game Pass for Xbox it just says he can't due to his age and that he'll have to ask his parents! There doesn't seem to be any guidance (that I can see) for how I go about
    it. Can anyone help?

    And yes I searched the archive. Actually I'm re-using an exact subject from one thread. But everyone responding there was just providing links to how to setup a family group. Or a link to a page explaining "parental consent". None of these things answer my question which is what is the proper way to setup Xbox Ultimate Game Pass for a family. At at least just one child at a minimum.

    I've managed it. It's been a bit of a nightmare though! It would seem that I had set the spending to nil in the family account but as I am overly familiar with the system it took me a lot of browsing to find that it was that that was causing the problem.
    Thank you for your help though, your tip at least got me looking in the right direction...
