    Setting Up A Room Mic?

Sometimes when I play online I'll be hanging out with a couple friends in the room and we would all like to be able to chat with the people we're gaming with. Does anyone know if it's possible to connect a standard microphone to the headset adapter and use
    it as a room mic?

    :)

Connecting to XBox Live via wired connection through a Virgin SuperHub

    Hi

Tried resetting net settings and can see 0.0.0.0 for ip address, then re-do test and although fails IP address is showing up in the network settings on xbox.

Tricky to try a different canble as it goes under house from room at back to room at house. Might have to try buy a cable tester or move xbox next to router to try.

    Thanks

  4. Setting Up A Room Mic?

Hi there. Just sharing that you may be able to use certain Mics so that everyone can talk but no one will be able to hear people talk back. There are a few exceptions where a particular game may allow chat to be heard in headphones and speakers.

By default when pluging in a headset...the chat comes through to the headset. So if you were to plug in a mic, the chat from others in your room may be heard by other gamers but no one at your home will hear other gamers.

All this assuming you're talking about using a mic with an Xbox stereo adapter.

The Kinect would be your best bet for this to work vs figuring out a mic

Thank you. Yeah, it's mainly for Destiny where I can have the rest of the teammates voices come through the tv. Normally a couple of us will sit super close to the person with the headset so we can talk with our friends online, but if we could put a mic
on the table that would make everything a lot more fun. So I would just have to plug certain mics into the xbox one stereo headset adapter?

  6. You can give it a try. Destiny as you mention will allow you to hear chat.

    Good luck.

    Headset not included :(

A mic and head set will always be needed in my house, even if I had a kinect unit in the living room I would not be taking to the tv with the volume up when my wife and children are in bed just across the hall.
