Setting time limit on adult account

My son has been playing on my (adult) account but I need to set a time limit so the XBox wil turn off. I've set device limits for the family but he does't log in as himself. He said he will lose all the work he has done in Fortnite if he logs into his
account, not mine. And that he would lose the friends. Is there a way to transfer it to his account AND can I set a time limit for the device under my username?

Can I move my Xbox One profile from one MS account to another?

So if I create another adult account I can manage the adult account he is already using? I didn’t think you could manage the screen time on an adult account. How do I do that? It doesn’t give me the option to set screen time limits for the adult account
he is using. I created a second adult account but it doesn’t let me set the screen time limits on the other adult account.

Adult to child

when I set up Xbox live account years ago for my son on Xbox 360, it was set up as an adult account and we altered the settings accordingly. Now can't set up same settings on Xbox one as an adult so is there a way to change adult account to child account
without him losing all his gameplay etc so I can set up time limits etc. Thanks.

Unfortunately no. Nothing can be transferred between accounts and limits are only available for child accounts.

Has anyone sorted out yet how to set time limits to an adult account ?

You can set a time limit for a device being connected through your router admin settings, which will disconnect at a time but you will still be able to play games offline but not online, There is no feature for setting time limits on a adult account on the
xbox.

You're actually correct, if limiting game time is the goal, you would not be able to do that to an adult account. This means the alternative suggestion would be the way to go for this scenario.

Hello Farrell,

There is no way to set limits to an adult account due to it set to adult. If you want to set limits you would need to create child accounts, them are the ones you are able to set screen times for.
