NAT Type open/strict problem with multiple Xbox' s in home

so basically my family has an Xbox in the living room. I wanted one of my own so I could use it whenever i want. I got one for Christmas. On the network settings on the first one it says the NAT Type is open but on the 2nd the NAT type is strict. Everything
else on both settings are identical. This is a problem with a few games and Xbox live to the point where I can't even use some features on the 2nd one. How can I make the NAT type open on both Xbox's?

NAT is not an actual setting on the Xbox that you can directly change. Rather, it a reported status, which you ideally want to be reported as "open." You achieve open NAT by configuring your router to port forward the following ports to the IP address of
    your Xbox:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

(and reportedly 3075 UDP and TCP for COD Ghosts).

If your router properly supports UPnP (many don't) and you enable it, that should automatically forward the necessary ports. Otherwise, you will have to configure the router to manually forward the above ports. Either way, once port forwarding is done
correctly, your Xbox should report open NAT unless you have some other problem (for example, double NAT, which is common with DSL Internet).

The other ports you will see mentioned here and elsewhere do NOT need to be and should not be forwarded: they only need to be open (not blocked) for outbound communications, which they will be by default on a normal home router.

Major xbox live party issue [0x89234020] "Your network settings are blocking party chat"

Go check your Network Settings and see what NAT type is. For a good party connection you will need to have NAT type set in Open.

    Try this
    Xbox NAT Error
    troubleshoot.
