Setting "Home Xbox" as a PC

Hello, I currently game share with my dad, he pays for xbox live and gamepass ultimate, and my xbox is set as his home xbox so we can both use it. He signs into his account at his house, and I sign into my account at my house with his account as the home xbox on my console.

I am switching to PC and want to continue to use gamepass ultimate like we have been using. Is there a way to set my PC to be his home xbox now, so I can continue to play gamepass games on my gamertag on the PC, or does it only work on xbox, and on PC you need to have your own subscription?

Are you on Xbox or PC? If you're on Xbox, have you set the console as your account's Home Xbox?

Xbox has the home console concept. If the account that set the Xbox as the home cosole has the game pass, all accounts connected to the same console can use it. On PC there is not something like the "home setting" for console, so the owner of the pass
has to download the game since he will be the only one recognized as having the pass for PC active, so the info you were given is correct.
