Setting account as main for Xbox issue

Hi, I am having a bit of in issue with setting one of my friends xbox account as the main account for my Xbox so I could play the games he has along with playing online. The issue for this however is that whenever I go play a game that uses online I still get a suggestion to make a purchase for Xbox live when I had already set my friends account (who already has online) as the main one for my console.

I was wondering if anyone know anything about this and could please tell me what I need to do.

You don't set your friends account as your main

He sets your console as his home console and he has to be there to do it

Kindly ask your friend to sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services and ask him to validate what Xbox subscription he have.

Hi. Thanks for that. However, what does it even mean to set the Xbox as the 'Home Console'? As opposed to what? Is that setting or a choice you make? And this is my issue, what determines the 'main account'..? If I add another account how do I make either one the 'main account'..?

Do you by chance have another console set to your Home Xbox for sharing purposes?

I have had this issue before where signing into my 2nd Xbox (Sharing Gold) that my main account would sign in and force my Main Xbox to sign out my main account. It took me a while to figure out but if you do share, this could be the issue.

Still having issue have not been able to play warzone pacific at all on main account. My sons account works fine same xbox same settings.
