    Set up my Xbox One S to play AVI videos from PC Easily


    I got the great Xbox One S, after set up my Xbox One S to play AVI videos from PC. While, I found out that their Xbox One S doesn't support AVI files. So I have do some reseach to solve this problem, here I will share my experience to let you play AVI on
    Xbox One S without hassle.

    From the video formats lists supported by Xbox One S are MKV, DivX and Xvid. It claimed that Xbox One S support AVI format although, the point I found here is, only a part of AVI, unfortunately, is supported due to different codes. For example, AVI in Divx/Xvid
    can be played on Xbox while problems occur when playing AVI in other code like VP-6 and etc. So, I need change the video codec to Xbox supported formats by using a video converter. Though comparing a few online finally I choose Pavtube Video Converter and
    haven't been disapointed. Things would be much easier and simpler by adopt Pavtube Video Converter - Which is the best video converter for Xbox One S to easily convert almost any AVI video to Xbox One S just in a few clicks. Apart from converting AVI to Xbox
    One S, I can also convert almost any video, like RMVB, AVI, MOV, to videos supported by Xbox One S. The most I like It can convert video at 30X faster speed, and keep the original video quality.

    wmp 11 to 360 streaming stuttering issues

    HI

    I set up streaming on my xp machine last night and everything worked wonderfully

    then today when I tried to play some music it started stuttering every few seconds and videos wont play at all now.

    I've tried everything I could find on the internet but nothing works.

    I know its not network issues because it's only my pc and xbox on my local network and it worked fine last night.

    the only difference from last night to this morning is my library has expanded (from 50 to 200 songs) but this shouldn't cause any real issues.

    All songs are mp3 and all videos are avi.

    Please help

    AVI Format DVDs on Xbox One...

    if I own a DVD movie that's in AVI format can the Xbox One console easily play that particular DVD movie???

    quick Google search shows that the Xbox One S does NOT support HEVC. best solution is to convert them.

    Xbox One S supported file formats

    Can you play 1080p avi and mp4 files?

    Yes. As long as the 360's video playback recognises it, it will play. A 1080p AVI file would be rather large though im guessing. Ive used 720p ones and they were fine.

    I still have a One S and enjoy using it a lot. It may be aging out a bit though, but its nice to have around. I have a gaming PC but I also like gaving something I can easily set up on a TV and play from a couch.

    Download mediainfo on the PC, and check the codecs used in the files that don't show up.

    AVI, MP4 and MKV are simply containers, that can contain video/audio streams encoded using various codecs. If the Xbox One can't play the codec, it probably won't display the video file.

    That may not be the answer, but it might narrow down any compatibility problems between the player and the actual files.
