Set up, game history and controllers - surely it's me and it's not this badly designed?

Having set up the XBO console for my three boys I find that game history can't be transferred without 'gold' subscription... surely not? I'm not about to spend money for three kids on subscriptions they won't use. Surely you have designed a way to take game
history across devices?

Also, the XB360 controllers won't work on the XBO. Again, I can't believe you would have designed the new system to make previous controllers obsolete. Hugely expensive for me if you have. Can you advise how I take controllers to XBO?

Finally, my feedback on the set up experience is that updates take an inordinate amount of time. Once set up I received server problem messages, requiring a reboot, then I had to get an update for the controller. Following all that the account set up is
ponderous. Many simple fixes would help on navigation such as keys to go back a screen and something to let me know the device is thinking whilst loading an account, rather than a static screen. I reloaded my son's MS email and it gave him a different user
name, which I couldn't then change... weird. Then you show the names you auto-create on the user menu but not the real names of the players. Again, weird.

I spent over an hour setting it up when I set up my boys iPads in 10mins. The user experience for a non XB player (me) is dreadful.

Now, I fear the XBO choice was a bad one if I have to spend more money on controllers when I've done so already for XB360 - some fancy ones were presents from family for birthdays in the past two years. I've not yet told my boys that their progress on Minecraft,
Skylanders and the other games they've played may be lost, unless they revert back to the XB360. Please help.

Someone is using my email for there Xbox account, It's not me. What do I do? How can I remove the account without access to the Xbox it self??? Please help!!! I can use my New Xbox without MY email address, I only have the one email address.

you only need to have one account with a subscription to have access to gold, the other accounts will have live access also. you don't have to pay for all three

Xbox 360 Controllers do not work

did you type in the correct email for the Xbox account? if you typed in the wrong one it will create a new account like that with a diff gamertag

 

That will only apply to the One. In order to save 360 game saves to the cloud you do need a gold subscription so each account would need their own in order to do so.
