    @DigitalAssassin:

    You're right. I can just do something else.

    Does anyone know if the white Sunset Overdrive bundle comes with a month free of Xbox Live, or will I have to pick up a Gold membership card separately?

    Thanks.

  2. ^It will more than likely come with a 1 month trial, I can't guarantee that, but my day one consoles both came with one and if sunset overdrive has a coop mode, there might even be a trial with the game itself.

    It would be best to check with the retailer if you want to know with certainty, but you can purchase Xbox Live Gold without having to be at the store anyway.

  3. I bought a PS4 before buying the Xbox One. I was used to being able to play games almost immediately. That's one of the few things I like about the PS4. But as far as games taking an hour to install, that has never happened to me. Longest I've had to wait
    for a disc based game to install was 20 minutes and that was because of a patch.

    I think the reason some experience long install times sometimes is because of patches. If a game has a patch available when you're first installing it, that patch needs to be downloaded and installed prior to being able to play the game. For the Xbox, it
    won't say that it's downloading and installing a patch, it will just saying Installing. A workaround that others have mentioned is disconnecting your console from the Internet and letting the game install, and THEN connect to the Internet and download the
    patch while you play the game.

    While it's never taken over 20 minutes to install game + patches, it's one of my biggest gripes about the Xbox One and I hope they address it in the future. That and the ability to download multiple files at once, which I am able to do on the PS4.

    So yes, both consoles have advantages and disadvantages, and this is definitely a huge disadvantage.

    Any time lost in installs (which wont be much) you can get back in spades witih instant game resume! No more loading screens just pick up and play! By far the best feature of the One.

    The install process definitely needs a bit of work, but as mentioned, the main reason some people are getting really long install times is because the console checks to see if a patch is available for the game and if so, it downloads and installs that. Some
    patches can be multiple GBs, so if your Internet connection isn't fast, that can hold the installation process up.

    As for downloading multiple files at once, I see that as a disadvantage. I would rather have it the way it is on the Xbox, as you can change the order in which things download, so if you are downloading 3 games at once, you can pick which one downloads first,
    then you can start playing that one while the other 2 download in the background. If all 3 downloaded simultaneously, it would extend the download time by a factor of 3 before any of the games had downloaded as your bandwidth is spread between them instead
    of 1 game getting priority.

  7. Hello "FirstRespond3r" Set on the Xbox One! But I have one gripe/concern. :)

    I am not sure if it will make a difference, but I don't launch the game while it is being installed (even though the option to do so is now available) because I don't want to mess up anything Set on the Xbox One! But I have one gripe/concern. :)

    I've never had any bad load times. I had a 60 gig game download and installed in about 40 minutes. You can also start playing before it fully loads. I remember back in the day have to save and load save from a cassette recorder. Hearing that sound for
    a long time was horrible. Enjoy gaming.

    You're a fool and you don't know anything about the actual mechanics of gaming.

    You're demanding a high performance car not guzzle gas. It is what it is. Transferring data from any disk, particularly many gigabytes, takes time.

    Don't buy an Xbox One if you're a dirty poor in a trailer with 300Kbps download speed. Modern game patches are 10GB, and yes you can expect them on day one.

    I live in a old refrigerator box under the McNichols overpass on I-75 and rely on passing motorists with 3G cellular connections for downloads...does this mean I shouldn't game? Darn you elitist rich folk!

  11. I hear Chevrolet vehicles now come with built in WiFi - I hope plenty of those pass over your old refrigerator box. Set on the Xbox One! But I have one gripe/concern. ;)

  12. @GourdTwitch,

    It's not even a big deal, it's just a gripe. It's pretty lame that the PS4 is able to get you playing within minutes, where as you have to wait way longer to start on the XB1. It's just a simple question. The PS4 can do it, why can't Microsoft do it with
    the XB1?

    There's no need to throw insults, by the way.

    @Undead

    So you're buying two consoles? I'm still watching your thread over on the Sony forums and it's getting confusing. I thought you decided here to buy a One but now you're saying over there that you're getting a PS4.

    I think you've just confirmed my original suspicions.

    Hey XXUndead,

    Both console have their ups and downs. One is going to have features you like over the other. If you like faster install times, then playstation is your way to go. If you like the ability to be automatically signed in with your face, xbox is your way to
    go. Just a though. Both are great consoles, and both have great games. Just play games, and enjoy yourself Set on the Xbox One! But I have one gripe/concern. :D

  15. You can install games faster by installing them offline then going online for the update.. unless you got some Walmart connection. Also, what Randver said. Which one are you getting? Make up your mind bro.
