Set NAT Type back to Moderate?

A friend of mine talked me into changing my NAT Type to Open from Moderate because I was having an issue connecting with him to play Rainbow Six the other night. He walked me through some steps, and it seemed to work. I was now on Open. It turns out, I hate
Rainbow Six. Just not my thing.

Now, however, I'm getting a bad connection icon when I'm playing Battlefield 4, and my friends are telling me I'm skating around on my knees. None of this was an issue until I changed from Moderate to Open.

I want to go back to Moderate. The guys on Xbox support couldn't help me. They basically told me I was an idiot and that open is better. I don't care about the theoretical benefits of being NAT Type Open. I just want to go back to what worked! I'm at a point
where I'm frustrated that I can play a game I hate OK, but the game I love is losing my connection and lagging.

I need help. I tried a factory reset of my console and that didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

    :)

Cannot connect my Tablet with my Xbox One

This just happened to me, however I am using an iPhone rather than a Windows device. After the most recent smartglass update, my Xbox One was no longer listed in the smartglass app, nor could I connect. Then I noticed that my NAT type had somehow gone back
to Moderate instead of Open. Once I set up the port triggering and saw my NAT type go back to Open, the next time I opened the smartglass app my Xbox One was listed as a connected device without any further action on my part.

Hopefully updating your NAT type will work. If your NAT type is already set to Open then this solution won't work.

Set NAT Type back to Moderate?

What configuration changes did you make to get the NAT to open? The changes would have been made in your router not in the XBOX so a factory reset of the console would do nothing. In theory all you should have to do is reverse those changes.

I am not saying you are an idiot but it is typically better across the board when playing online to have an open NAT.

    Good Luck!

The changes I made were to the Xbox. I was told to go into the network option and check test my multiplayer connection. When I get the screen that says that everything is good, I was told to push the LB, RB, LT, RT at the same time and then hit the A button
    twice.

My friend found it on a bunch of YouTube videos.

    Have I been hoaxed?

I have never used that but from what I read using that combination ( LB, RB, LT, RT) can cause the console to have issues. One of the articles that I read said that a factory reset would correct the issues. You should do some research on your specific
issue to determine the best course of action for you. Sorry but I don't have any experience with that specifically. Good Luck!

Set NAT Type back to Moderate?

Thanks for everyone's help. It's pretty frustrating. I know there's a million variable between a million ISPs. I'll keep looking for a solution. Maybe the next Xbox One update will fix the problem.
