    "Set as background" button does not appear


    Hi,

    On my Xbox One X, I would like to use a JPG image as a wallpaper. My image is stored on my home network, and I can access it using the media player.

    However, when the picture is displayed, if I push the start button, I only have 2 options: "Go home" or "about". The option "Set as background" is not available.

    Do you know why I cannot have this option, despite I can see it in all the tutorials on youtube?

    Cannot use achievement design

    I can´t select achievements to use as background. When I click on them, nothing happens, the option to set it as background image does not appear.

    Choosing a photo for a background

    When you say it just "plays," are you highlighting the picture and pressing A? To set as the background you need to highlight a picture, press the Menu (old start) button, then choose Set as Background. Is that not working?

    If I use a USB key, it works, I can see the option "set as background". However, using a network drive, this option is not available.

    Hi Fellow gamer,

    We recommend to check the settings for the recording feature that does it in the background.

    1. First right click the start button.
    2. Click settings.
    3. Click gaming.
    4. Click game DVR
    5. Look for Record in the background while I'm playing a game. Make sure it is on.
    Try this and let us know.

    You must have background downloads on. Does the power button's light flash, or does it just stay on fully?

    When you open the app, a sign-in button appears, prompting you to sign in with your Microsoft account or set up a console.

    Try reinstalling the app if the option does not appear for you.
