Serviced Series X Warranty

I had a launch Series X that went out of warranty on December of '21. I tried to turn it on early this month and it was just completely dead. After looking online, I saw Microsoft charges $299 flat to fix a series X out of warranty. I was originally going to replace the PSU myself (about $70) as an attempted fix, but my wife reminded me of the Visa extended warranty, so I sent it to Microsoft instead and paid the fee.

I just got the console back- it has the same serial, but I can't tell if it's the same unit since the sticker with the serial now has a "serviced in June 2022" printed on the back. I thought there would be a guarantee or a warranty on the repaired console, but after speaking with a chat rep they say it doesn't even extend it an additional 3 months? Is this seriously true? I read a few places on Reddit that it would get an additional 1-year of warranty because of the $299 fee, but they are telling me if this replaced unit dies tomorrow I am SOL?

I can't find anything in writing about a guarantee on their service. Does anyone have experience having a unit fail after it was serviced by Microsoft? I wouldn't be so concerned except the last time I had an Xbox fail on me was during the 360 RROD issues. My Series X was so lightly used it was basically new. Less than 70 hours were used on it most likely.

If it doesn't give you the option through the warranty form, you would need to contact support directly and see if they can set up that option. You can request a call back or chat with support at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us . If you don't see those option, change the category/topic until you do.

That's strange, I Have Xbox 360, Xbox one Fat, Xbox one X and Xbox series X, just my One X had issues, but I replaced trough the out of warranty service and all of them are currently working

My warranty is up and I've tried all those tips. I'd rather just wait for the Series X than spend $250 to have it serviced. Thanks for the help tho!

They should be running the same server. If your series X is not working even on other network, I would already suggest having the console for service. Check the warranty and service options here:
