Service problems?

I am currently getting "Some services may be unavailable at this time" and have been getting it for a while now. I have messed with all sorts of things like deleting my profile and downloading it again, reconfiguring my network settings. Swapping between
wifi and cat6, and running direct to the modem etc.

I noticed that when I do the "test Connection" it fails to find internet service about 80% of the time or more and rarely finds connection. The strange thing is I am able to connect to xbox live and actually play even when the test comes up with a failed
connection. I have had some terrible lag, even on a 70 mb connection and intermittent loss of connection.

As soon as I quit playing a game it gives me the message that "some services may not be available" and all of my dashboard "apps" show me offline.

I hope I have given you enough information to try and figure out what is going on. This has been happening for several months and I am just about done trying to enjoy xbox live.

Grrrrrrrr Microsoft Cust Service

I had a faulty pad (down on the dpad did not click and was unreliable). Phoned up game and they had a returned day one console (faulty drive) and they just swapped the pad straight over. I think, they would have offered to replace with new (non day one )handset if they didn't have the faulty returned xbox one.
