Service Alert on Xbox 360

I have three Xbox 360 consoles and all three come up with "Service Alert" when running the "Test Xbox Live Connection". When I download a game, it will download to a certain point, then a message says that it's unable to download (game title). This has happened
with multiple titles, all Lego games. There was a sale for 70% off on select 360 Lego titles. I also have multiple Xbox One consoles, the 360 backwards compatible system seems to have no problems there. It is only on the Xbox 360 consoles. I have gone through
several troubleshooting steps with customer support and still have the same problem. My internet and network are functioning properly with 35+ Mbps download and 5+ Mbps upload. I have 0% packet loss. Latency is usually between 20 and 80 ms.

Is there anyone else out there on an Xbox 360 console that has tested the Xbox Live Connection and received the same results? Is there anyone else out there that is having downloads stop for no apparent reason? Is it possible that there is an issue with
the Xbox 360 side of Xbox Live that is only affecting Xbox 360 consoles and not the backwards compatibility of Xbox One?

This issue is not yet resolved. I am having the same issue with service alert showing when testing live network.

i am experiencing random and repeated sign outs while playing online games completly disrupting my games. I pay monthly for the privalege to play online. This is not good enough from microsoft. Xbox live should be free for all xbox360 users until this is
fixed. Microsoft cannot hide behind the terms and conditions statement tjst ‘disruption may occur’ Australian law for one dictates that tje goods amd or services purchased should be fit for purpose. The purchase of xbox live monthly at $10.95 is included under
australian consumer law and as such is in breach of said law by not being ‘fit for purpose’ as online games cannot be played wothout random sign outs. I for one will perhaps except a free one years membership for the breach of consumer law to be readdressed
next year. I suggest other effected parties demand the same. Its just not good enough service on behalf of microsoft.

Do you have a Windows 10 PC on your network that you can use to run the network tests on there? That can provide some information if your home network has some settings that need work, or if it's settings with the Xbox 360.

We could also resetting the Xbox 360 network connection settings to default and see if it lets you log in then. You can do that by going to:

Settings > System > Network Settings > your connection type > Configure Network > Additional Settings > Restore to Factory Defaults

Let me know where you're at in testing and we can figure out the next best steps.

I shut down the console, unplugged it for 5 minutes and restarted it. No improvement.

I did reset the network settings. No improvement.

I do have a Windows 10 pc on the same network. How do I test ?

I have the same problem my xbox360 is connected to the internet and fails in xbox live although I pay for it, I don't understand the information you have to put in it keeps taking me back to the start my subscription works on my laptop

Hello Darren!

I can totally see how going through random sign outs from Xbox Live can be frustrating and could keep you from gaming. I took a look at the thread you were referencing, and wanted to ask what you yourself have done in terms of troubleshooting steps?

The thing is that we don't currently have any active Service Alerts affecting our services so there could be a variety of things that may be potentially causing this issue for yourself and others.

If you could give us a little more information on what you've done and how your network is set up we should be able to help with this issue. Also, if and when you get a chance, I suggest giving the steps outlined in our

Xbox 360 Disconnect Solution and letting us know if that helped with the signouts.
