Service Alert on Xbox One also affecting 360

As the subject states, I have received a service alert about signing into Xbox live on my Xbox One, but it seems to have affected my 360 as well. The problem is simply trying to sign in. Each attempt to login leads to a prompt that asked for my security
information. After I've completed this step it acts like it is going to sign me in, and the pop up even appears telling me how many friends I have online, but it quickly throws up error code 80072EF3 and tosses me right back offline. I used to be able to bypass
this if I started a game and then once at the games menu, started to sign in, but this has started to not work as well. Am I dealing with a different problem besides my service alert or is the alert applicable to both systems and its only stating my xbox one
has the problem? Oh and I'm able to sign in on my one so as to why I still have the alert, I'm not sure, but I think Microsoft is looking one place while the problem lies elsewhere.

Several TV/Video Apps Broken after Last Update

Daily Motion app is also unavailable though service alert says up/running. Also current service alert says affected platform is XBox One but it is also affecting some stores purchasing on 360.

HI there. I was playing multiplayer games all morning and was able to chat, when I kept getting disconnected and was no longer able to chat.

I ran a Xbox Live Connection test and am now receiving Xbox stores service alert. I am not able to maintain connection in multiplayer games and unable to chat. I then checked the Xbox site for service alerts and the only service alert showing is for Xbox
One stating purchase and content usage limited.

What's up that the only alert for Xbox One is affecting my playing on Xbox 360??? Any suggestions to fix would be greatly appreciated.

That error usually indicates that there is a problem with your account information, such as security proofs; not your network or the Xbox Live server.

Here is a solution that can fix the error

Solution 1:

1). On the Xbox Home Screen, click on System -> Storage -> Hard Drive -> Profile, select Delete, then click Delete Profile Only.

2). Press "B" on the controller until you see "Hard Drive", Press "Y" on the controller and select "Clear System Cache" on the screen.

3). Shut the Xbox 360 off completely. Then turn it back on

4). On the Xbox Home Screen, Scroll until Social is selected on the top of the screen, Click "Sign In or Out", Scroll all of the way to the right and select Download Profile.

5). Follow the On screen prompts. If your on your personal Xbox, make sure, Save Password is checked in the box.

You should now be able to connect to Xbox Live, if not go to "Solution 2".

Solution 2:

1). Go to Sign in to your Microsoft account

2). Sign in with your email address and password.

3). Once on the homepage, on the Left tab, click on "Security info".

4). You may get a pop up message that you will need to get a security code from your Email Address or Phone number. (If not, skip this step and go to step 6.) Note: if you don't have access to the Email Address or mobile phone anymore, then Click on cant
use those anymore.

5). Enter the security code.

6). Now go back to the Security info page. Check and see if you have a mobile phone and alternate email address and mobile phone entered in; make sure they are verified; by clicking on Verify (if applicable). If there is no email address or phone number
in on the page, add them in and click Verify.

7). On the Xbox Home Screen, scroll right until you see settings, click on System -> Hard Drive -> Profile, select Delete, then click Delete Profile Only

8). Go back to the Xbox Home Screen, Scroll until Social is selected on the top of the screen, Click "Sign In or Out", Scroll all of the way to the right and select Download Profile.

9). Follow the On screen prompts. If your on your personal Xbox, make sure, Save Password is checked in the box.

You should now be able to connect to Xbox Live.

 

Happening to me too. Just a different error code. It connects to internet but not xbox live. 8015190E

I already spoke to one person in customer support and she said it is a known issue with 360 as well.

It's not about my information or my connection.

Curious when we can expect this patched though.

Update: While I typed that, I redownloaded my profile and that did it. I'm in. Maybe try that guys.

 

Do not delate profiles! For some days there are problems with their restoration X360 console!!!

 

Wow we may need a patch for this. Live is down again.

 

this person trying to help will actually mess u up ewven more,u will not be able to download your profile,its going on 4 days for me now,all the steps he gives do not work,there is a problem on their end,many many ppl affected now,check out the forums its
bloody ridiculous how they are keeping very quiet about it also!!!

 

Well, my work around did eventually work, so those with a similar problem to mine just try and start up a game, for me I use minecraft. Once in the game, I'll try to connect to live. Sometimes my system freezes up but usually it will freak out a little then
sign me in. Hopefully since this works for me it might work for some others.
