    why have the halo 4 servers been down for 3 days now? I pay for Xbox Live and this is unacceptable.

    Yes as was said the server for the original Xbox Live were shut down last year.

    I called microaoft and the dude said that there was like a dns server that possibly went down.

    Please try again. Xbox.com/status doesn't give any errors on Halo so it seems to be fixed.

    It means that your network isn't reaching the servers because said servers are currently down.

    Just to confirm, I never said that the servers WOULD close nor do I believe that the servers will be shut down.

    Just retried it and it worked this time...my guess is the "Gears" servers where down...Because when I looked at events it said "servers down" so that would be my only guess.
