Server Connection Error

When can we expect the Server Connection Errors to be resolved? Sometimes, they appear every other game. I'm sure you can understand how frustrating it is to be repeatedly kicked out of games.

Are you experiencing the connection issues with any other games? Did you ensure that you are playing through a stable and strong connection? Have you tried any of the solutions offered in our FAQ?

 

I don't experience the issue with any other game. I play MS Solitaire quite often and, when it gives me a connection error, it is because my internet connection has actually dropped. With Bingo, I often check my internet connection as soon as the error is
displayed, and the connection is good. When I get the Server Connection Error in Bingo, I don't get disconnected from Solitaire, browsers, email or anything else - just from Bingo.

I have read your FAQ and tried the solutions. I have the app updates set to automatic, so that is not the issue. And when I tried restarting, that did not resolve the issue.

Hope you can resolve this.

 

Even if you have your Windows Updates set to automatic, you might be missing Windows Updates. Please check manually to make sure.

 

I am having the problem, especialy tonight.I am constantly getting the Server Connection Error in Bingo. All other games and browsing is fine. Mhy internet connection is great. It is extremely frustrating!

 

I checked Windows Update and installed the one “recommended” update that hadn’t been automatically installed and restarted. I checked for updates on the app store; there were none for Bingo. I then started playing Bingo again and was still receiving the
Server Connection Errors, often every other game.

When I get these errors, I do not get disconnected from any other games or from internet radio, which would likely be the first to fail if it were an internet connection issue. In addition, I am able to start another game right away, which is another reason
why it is unlikely to be an internet connection issue on my computer.

I have seen a number of complaints about this issue on your Facebook page and on the app store ratings page for Bingo. So, please try to resolve this at your end. Maybe you could use a server with more capacity or work out the bugs in your software.

Bingo is a fun game, but people are unlikely to continue playing when they are repeatedly being disconnected.

 

We are not aware of any recent server issues. Please make sure to select Restart on your device after installing any updates. Only restarting the game or shutting down your device will not apply the updates.

 

I am aware of the appropriate procedure for installing updates. However, the error appears even when there are no outstanding updates since the last restart. It does not appear to be related to uninstalled Windows updates or bad internet connections.

You say that you are not aware of any recent server issues. This is not a recent phenomenon. I installed Bingo in November and had a couple of weeks of frequent usage without any errors. Since then, it is rare that a day goes by when I do not get the Server
Connection error at least once and usually more than once per day.

 

I am having the same connection problems. I have no updates to be installed. Everything is up to date. I did manage to sign in once and it didn't show any of my friends. I than logged on to Xbox on my browser and it showed this: Uh oh... that shouldn't
have happened.

It appears you've found a glitch in the system.

So, there is definitly a problem on your end.

 

If you were unable to load the Xbox website, it sounds as if you were experiencing issues with the LIVE service. Are you able to play the game without issues now?

 

Did you manage to make the game work? If so, what did you do? I know this thread is old and I'd better off creating a new one, but I'd like to try other people tried first, if possible.

Windows 10 is installed here, and the game works on that OS, but had to go back to Windows 8.1 because the achievements unlocked on the newer Windows 10 version don't carry over to the older one and I'd rather not to have another incomplete game on my collection.

The most recent Windows 8.1 updates are installed, by the way.

I still get the error once in awhile, but usually when I clear it and try again it works. I have upgraded to Windows 10 and gotten a new router since I first reported the error.
