To make it short, it is a complain about Xbox connectivity, I invite you to check this thread which is related to Forza Horizon 4 and the very infamous DNS/Online sessions problem that many are facing it with different games on XBox/Windows 10 platforms.

Of course the problem was not solved. To add rub more salt into the wound, even this supposed to be a troubleshooting guide is simply outdated, because the latest Windows upgrade does not include Teredo on the Hardware Devices list:

I'm not sure, is it supposed for the users to find real solutions by themselves for what Microsoft has failed to fix?

Speaking of gaming platforms, Steam and Origin are flawlessly working with online gaming, maybe Microsoft also need to learn something from them, I mean a core problem is more important than adding few paid avatars users can use at their own profiles.

First of all thank you a lot for your appreciated response.

I hope my reply will not be lengthy, but I will keep it as short as possible and as informative without forgetting details.

Forza Horizon 4 is working great by my side, as long as we're talking about solo-gaming, but problem here is the multiplayer-gaming, to be more specific: teredo-tunneling.

Sometimes to online gaming for Forza worked for me without any problem, but without any clear reason most of the time it doesn't work. For instance, few days ago the online gaming worked (after long hours of troubleshooting),
I closed the game, checked the teredo status through using powershell, everything is good, ports are open Nat is cone, no problem at all. I haven't even switched off my PC or used it for hours after that, means I haven't messed with any of of its configuration
at all. So when I tried to go for multiplayer gaming after that, the problem surfaced up again, I checked teredo status, and it was down and showing me it is unable to connect. This is randomly happening, not just with me, not just with Forza 4, but it is
happening with multiple games on Xbox/Windows 10 platforms according to what I have read during my online researching and with many people of different countries.

Steps I did to try to fix this problem:

You can say I did everything I can, from checking my router's ports to restart my PC and Router and so on.. To modify my tererdo's config. and tried different solutions and configurations, sometimes it worked, but always it is temporary, the problem is surfacing
every single time and unfortunately I'm not the only one with this problem.

When I have mentioned Steam and Origin as an examples, it was about mentioning 2 facts:

- Why connecting to multiplayer gaming is not as easy as doing with these 2 platforms?

- Why would a customer (especially a novice one, I'm talking here in general) to go through all of these steps of modifying and configuring all of these settings and end up with a disappoint rather then implementing a better different solution (or at least)
to implement a better solution using teredo itself?

- The problem is not that easy and many users (including myself) are constantly facing it, here are different links of a lot of threads/topics/videos discussing the same problem.

More to the problem, the troubleshooting guides, this one for example:

to be more specific (Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Teredo adapter)

and I quote:

Here is the thing, at the latest version (or latest versions of Windows 10, I'm not sure about this) teredo is not available on device manager, I guess it was implemented in a different way. Now if a novice user will find out it is not there, first thing
will come to his mind is his Windows is faulty and might go with re-installing the whole OS and with a lot of applications.

TDLR: even the online guide are not updated (or) showing which solution is suitable to which windows version

This is my first time I use an Xbox game, and it ended up like this and to be honest I do not think I will do this again as long as there is no solution for this. and like I said, we have another 2 examples of successful online experience without the hustle
of going through all of this trouble shooting thing.

Wow at least there's a Microsoft support willing to look at our problem, unlike the ever so "helpful" Forza forum.

 

More of teredo randomness and endless non sense headache (and the user is the one who is supposed to fix this mess, isn't it?)

First it worked good for few hours of troubleshooting without any problem.

After that it was not able to connect, although no single setting was changed neither on the PC nor on the router, server was blocked, port was restricted.

Later on it worked out of no where, but also for few hours.

Now this:





port is opened, connection is up, all good, but server is blocked. Online gaming is not working

and even if we changed it to Enterprise, the result is:





I'm not also sure how to troubleshoot a moody application, and no comment from anyone of Microsoft's end.

 

Reinstalling xbox app allowed me to log in to horizon life, but after 30 seconds or so I was diconnected and could not join again. Similar thing: Reseted my router, connected internet to my computer via cable was able to join horizon life , wanted to check
if it would work through wifi. It did, but only for a short while and then the same story again.

same here, it connected online for few seconds then disconnected. I'm running Windows 10 ver. 1809.

go back to a previous version of Windows?

Just for the record, if you router has the following option: IPSec Passthrough; then make sure this feature is ticked enable. This feature is normally located in the firewall settings of your router.

I can not go back to the previous version of the Windows. As long as the current version has this problem, then it need to be fixed.

The firewall was disabled, I tried this step and different steps before I posted this discussion here, nothing has changed. It was connecting to the online and disconnecting few seconds later.

It was connecting according to its mind at the same configuration of my PC, firewall and router. Sometime it was not at the very same configuration.

Like I was mentioning before, the complains about teredo is stacking up and Microsoft is doing nothing about it. I'm not sure which is worst, that they missed these complains and they weren't aware of? or they are aware of this from the very beginning but
the number of complains for them is still within the " accepted " range?
