    Serious problem with the "Xbox One Headset Adapter"


    There is a severe echo anytime I have the mic activated as well as game audio coming through the headset. The only fix I can find is turning off the headset game audio and putting the chat audio on full. This is, understandably, quite aggravating. I literally
    have to choose between using my headset for game audio or chat audio... I am very displeased with this product and feel as though I've wasted my money. Any help would be appreciated, as I know this is a widespread problem. I've read dozens of complaints from
    people with the exact same problem as me. Thank you.

    The point is people want to be able to use there current headsets with xbox one so if they are making an adapter so it will allow you to do that then technically the problem is solved. On the other hand "your" problem is that "you" feel as though you are
    being nickeled and dimed in order to get "your" problem solved.

    What headset are you using with the controller? Is this an official Microsoft Xbox headset or another one? Are you using the controller with the 3.5mm input or are you using an Official Headset adapter.

    Hi Zathrus,

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset     with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
    adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.

    When is Microsoft going to fix the Headset always muted widespread problems?

    This problem is widespread and I believe it is a problem with Microsoft. After doing some research, the only solution that appears to work is by having a stereo headset adapter such as this
    one    .

    I personally haven't had any problems with headsets, it is just luck of the draw. It really sucks.
