    Serious Ongoing Audio Issue


    Hello. I'm currently in Insider Alpha with an Xbox One X. For the last 2-3 updates there's been rather serious issues with audio and playable videos.


    1. The audio output will emit high pitched screeching. When getting an achievement or something like a notification pops up it starts these sounds, sometimes it begins by itself after a day or two.


    2. When the high pitched noises begin - all video content will be slowed down to a crawl in slow motion and will emit distorted slowed down audio for voices and whatnot. This also happens when you're in a party and someone is talking when a mic is unplugged (if you're in the "bugged" state). This makes all apps like YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer completely unwatchable.

    As far as I know, a hard reset fixes all of these issues for a little while. I'd like to hear if these issues have been reported. I have tried changing HDMI cables, power cycling my One X, and resetting audio settings.

    No game audio on Rainbow Six unless mic plugged in.

    appreciate the canned response but im well beyond that. Thus has been an ongoing thing for years. And there are no audio settings that affecr game audio with a mic plugged.

    ^ typing too fast, no voice and no party audio/myself and others that wernt in preview program are getting same issue.

    My NAT is open.

    Titanfall is days away MS, this will be a serious issue

    Ongoing issue with chat.

    Ok I figured something out. Apparently it has something to do with both consoles being in standby mode, and signing in on both of them at different times. If I'm upstairs playing games and I come downstairs, the Xbox downstairs automatically recognizes me
    and signs me in. Then when I go back upstairs, I have to sign back in on that Xbox. I believe this is when the chat stops working upstairs. But I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact moment it stops. From that point on, nothing I do upstairs will fix the
    chat. I think it's because the console downstairs is what's causing the problem upstairs even though I'm no longer signed in downstairs. I guess the console still thinks I'm there somehow? I don't know. Anyway, last night what I did was go downstairs and turn
    that console completely off. No standby. Went back upstairs and did a hard reset and boom, chat is working again upstairs. Obviously having both consoles on standby mode and signing in to both consoles back and forth somehow messes up the chat. I'm now going
    to keep the downstairs console off. No standby. I'll keep this thread updated to see if this fixes the problem permanently.
