Serious External Hard Drive Issues for Xbox One

to this!!!!!!

 

Also Fyi I have western digital 3tb hard drive forgot to add that to my post a second ago haha

 

I am having the same problem as well, I hooked up the drive a couple months ago because I said well some day I will need it. And nothing has been on it until battlefield 4. It has kicked me out twice so far with the " drive is now ready to use" message.
I am going to go to Costco and buy a 3tb hard drive with a separate power- I have a feeling that is the issue. So only data goes through the 3.0 usb

 

I am having this problem as well; it was working fine last weekend and this weekend went to download a game and it says that i needed to reset the Xbox to factory defaults. then i turned off the xbox and unpluged the 2TB toshiba Canvio to test if it was
just the hard drive the xbox didnt like not knowing were the external had gone so i reconnected the hard drive and when i turned the console back on and it says that it could not find the games on the Hard drive and that the hard drive was corrupted however
i took an checked the hard drive and it works fine so i think there is a bug in one of the updates

 

Same here got my external hard drive its a seagate 1.5 tb i got in June/July 2014. After an xbox one update it started to disconnect usually in the first 15-30 minutes. Would usually happen once and then be fine for about hours without issues. It is an issue
when u r playing a game of fifa online or u r installing a mandatory update or a game and it stuffs the whole process up. MS should have at least given or released the console with a bigger internal hard drive. or had the option to upgrade...

 

I have been having performance issues just having a hard drive connected. I have a USB 3.0 Western Digital Drive, a great product, and i hesitate to blame to drive. But having it connected always causes seemingly unrelated issues, sign-in issues, startup
issues, issues with programs launching (programs that are saved to the internal drive, so its weird it would even be affected), but sure enough when i remove the drive everything works fine

 

I'm also having this issue after the most recent update.

Here's the SSHD I use: Seagate 2TB Desktop SSHD SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive (ST2000DX001)

Had not had any issues until the recent update. It hasn't been moved, unplugged, or anything else since I ordered the drive and enclosure since last Nov. All my games(and saves) are installed on this drive.

 

Same here Seagate Expansion 2TB drive with its own PSU, USB cables changed and tested on PC and is working absolutely fine (should do its brand new). Like many others pretty p*ssed off as the only reason for purchasing this drive was to migrate data over
and I cant even get as far as copying a game more than a couple of GB before this infernal message appears. Hope this gets fixed soon

 

WOW just noticed more than a year since the original post guess were *** if it isn't fixed by now will it ever????????

 

I am finding this as well. playing video. and after a while hard drive gets dropped its annoying. Seagate backup plus slim.USB 3.0 1 TB external hard drive.

 

WD Elements are involved on that?
