Serious connection Issues with new Xbox One.

I just got my Xbox one today and I have been running into some very annoying issues. Issue number one is, I can not get my NAT to open. I have already gone through the procedure to open it up, enabling UPNP, disabling firewall, etc etc. When I plug in my
Xbox 360, everything works fine and the NAT is open, but for whatever reason, the same exact router, with the same exact settings, still registers as STRICT on the Xbox one.

Also when attempting to test my connection, the console tells me that I need an internet connection to test my connection. even though pressing b and going back, gives me the ironic message, "Everything looks good" "You are connected to the internet". When
it did work, it gave me the message " your network is behind a port symmetric nat" I have no idea what this means.

My Xbox One also performs horribly compared to my 360. When tested, my 360 had 2.85 Mbps download speed and my Xbox One had .28

To top it all off I have an extremely annoying issue where when attempting to reply to a message, a noise is made but no keyboard ever pops up.

I'm at a complete loss, any help is greatly appreciated.

Nat strict

Unless you are having connection issues, or serious lag dont worry about your NAT type. It changes when it wants on xbox one.

There are serious connection issues for my xbox kinect adapter during using xbox one s. and the kinect is working good on xbox one.

I am so disappointed about the experimence of gaming. Is there someone resolve it?

 

i have the same issue had my one 2 weeks ago at first got the nat open now it stays strict best way to check have you got evolve try that if it dont say your nat is strict you should be ok

you also should kill any setting that enables SIP alg in your router. the games on your xbox that have voice communication enabled will cause your online experience to be interfered with unless you turn it off

 

I'm in the United States, my old router/modem was a century link EQ 660R.

I have a 360 and a One, I use a single Ethernet cord for both, so only one is on at a time. My gateway was a linksys EA6200.

Wired connection.

I tried enabling UPNP, disabling the router's firewall, and bypassing the gateway altogether by simply removing it, Xbox support on the phone told me to reset my system and call my ISP, Century Link, to request an Open Cone NAT. They wouldn't do it but they
did send me a new router. a Westell 7500. I connected the Xbox One to the Westell 7500 directly, enabled UPNP, disabled the firewall, and it did give me a moderate NAT type. It's progress at least. How do I finally get this thing Open ?

 

I think that westell is still a gateway (modem and router) so that can be bad , especially if you have more than one console on it , I would leave the 360 out for now and just try the xbox one , here is some good info on getting an open NAT...

Ok, I just checked and now my NAT is Open. WTF ? I didn't change anything since the last time I checked. I don't get it.

 

xbox live is down at the moment. That could be the reason you are having issues

 

The XBOX One is absolute garbage with regard to connectivity. Throw into that the fact that Live is down all the time and it's a poor excuse for a gaming system. Microsoft needs to get their *** together as this is more than likely the last console I purchase
of theirs. It's just gotten worse and worse with every iteration and the XBOX One is awful.
