Hey there community. It has been a very long while sine I have been to these forums. They used to be a font of knowledge and help and I am hoping that although the layout and forums have changed you guys and gals are still as helpful
    as ever.

So I want to start streaming. Not just for an hour here or there but I'd like to give it a proper go and with time and efforts gain a following and hopefully create a unique channel for people to come and discuss and chill. Slow and steady I understand is
how this will work but whether it works or doesn't I want to do things properly. So I have questions to hopefully make things better all round.

So my Kinect camera will be how people will see me. I have read that ideally I'll need a dedicated microphone for better sound quality and this will also be used to add voice over to any videos I create as well. It would seem though that for the Xbox One
there are few options and the best of these appears to be the Turtle Beach Stream Mic which seems cool and looks great too.

So the question I need help with is a headset. From what I gather using a 5.1 speaker system will create feedback issues and so I need the mic to chat to the stream but I need a headset to listen to my games. So Is it possible to
have the Kinect connected with the Turtle Beach Stream Mic and a gaming headset like the Turtlebeach x800 so I can talk to my stream but also play games naturally with sound?

Also is there a way to be able to chat to the stream and occasionally dip in and out of game chat if I am playing a game in co-op or multiplayer? For instance could I use the Stream Mic to chat to the stream and then use the X800 headset mic to chat in game
and mute the mic as and when needed?

Complicated questions I feel but any and all help would be great Serious about streaming and gaming - Advice needed sound and audio :)

    :)

XBox One 2 channel sound problem

    Hi,

I have a 5 channel audio system and when streaming from xbox's spotify (for example) i can't get correct 2 channel audio. There comes some sound from surround and center speaker. Only if i turn settings from xbox from 5.1 uncompressed to the 2 channel uncompressed
i can get true stereo sound. Other way is to use av-receiver settings to convert 5.1 audio to the stereo sound. There is also obvious drop of treble when xbox one 2 channel uncompressed is in use. Bitstrem setting from xbox converting audio to dts or dolby
digital (depending settings) and problem is the same: with a 2 channel source there is all 5 channel somehow active. Seems like xbox has a serious problem to get audio encoding on xbox work properly. Help, anyone?

As a streamer myself I can only say that what hardware you use is all down to preference: I personally prefer Sennheiser though the official Microsoft headsets are good also.

With regards to being able to switch audio in and out using two mics this would be tricky to do and would require a lot of daisy-chaining, if it's even possible at all.

What you could do is create a Party Chat and invite the people you want to talk with into it, (I usually create a Party Chat so I don't disturb other people with the energetic nature of my commentary).

If you're looking to create recordings as well as streaming there are two options here: either archive your Twitch streams if you choose to use Twitch rather than Mixer or the like; at which point you can either upload it to YouTube or download it to your
    computer.

The second is to use a capture card and software such as OBS, however you'll need a somewhat powerful PC to do this, also keep in mind that you'll only be able to record at a lower quality whilst streaming due to bandwidth limitations and system requirements.

Since I'm not sure if we can promote Twitch channels here and you're thinking of using Twitch hit me up with a PM and I'll try to help you out and try to get you a bit of exposure, I may also be able to put you in touch with companies and studios/publishers
that support me down the line, I'll try to give you some set-up advice too.

Keep in mind though that every streamer has their own preferences and opinions.

playstion now, whats xbox going to answer with?

They dont need to respond to this, that kinda online game streaming is basically unplayable to anyone serious about games, the latency streaming games over the net ads is not worth even bothering with, not with todays internet infrastructure. Do you
know what OnLive is? yeah exactly.
