    I preordered my Series X, had it setup on 11/10. Between 11/10 and 11/13, I had about 3 hours of game time, however it stayed plugged in and was on in the background that entire time. 11/13 go to turn the unit on from what I resume is standby, however
    it won't power on. Checked the power cord, checked the outlet (interchanged both).

    Since 11/13 I've been trying to process an RMA (every time I go to pay for expedited processing it logs me out of microsoft.com and then when I enter my password, it starts the process over) or speak to someone with MS since then. Attempting the "request
    a call," has resulted in estimates of 60-90min, always running into the 3-5 hour territory for when they actually call me, leading to a missed call. Live chat has been replaced by "speak with a gamer," which is of zero assistance.

    Any recommendations on getting someone that can actually assist?

    It's the exact same story and same timeline for me. System worked fine 11/10 - 11/12 and I had it on standby mode. I went to turn it on 11/13 and it wouldn't power on. The system is a bricked and it seems the power supply is shot.

    I had difficulty creating an a service order to have it repaired, but eventually got it to work in the morning hours of 11/14. I was told I'd receive a prepaid return shipping label within 24 hours, but I haven't received anything yet. I'm now considering returning
    the device to Amazon for a refund.

    The original retailer is willing to accept the refund, however given the supply issues, I'd much rather a replacement direct through Microsoft. I tried pretty heavily to get my preorder through Microsoft.com, however we're all aware that it seems that
    I am probably considered lucky to have gotten a device on launch day.

    Let me know how that goes. I've heard reports of people getting a replacement console before even returning their own. I can't even get a human which is what is most frustrating. I finally got someone from a call back, but they immediately transferred
    me to the department that handles replacements... to which I've been on hold for 66 minutes (and counting).

    If your having no luck contacting MS try contacting your credit card and ask them the rules on doing a chargeback

    The CC company will ask you to try contacting MS again take notes even if you can not contact MS

    You may have to return to the place of purchase remember to login to your xbox account on this site & set a new password.

    Don't be surprised if this post gets deleted as MS seem to have an issue with people knowing what legal rights they have.

    If I buy the xbox one version of hogwarts legacy will I have to buy it again if I upgrade to series x/s?

    You'll still be able to play it on the Series S/X, but the quality won't be as good as the Series S/X version.
