    Series X wont play 360 titles


    Ok so here goes. Trying to play with friends on Gears of War 3 with series X. We play every other week together and all was working great until last week.

    When trying to log into the game , it will not connect to xbox live. I am using ethernet port NOT wifi. When I disconnect the ethernet cable and switch to wifi , game works fine. The second I reconnect the cable it kicks me out saying I lost connection.

    Now for the fun part, this only happens on any back compatible 360 game I try and only 360 titles. NAT is open I can download anything from store fine , connect to party chat fine , play any xbox game with ethernet plugged in. I've done system wipe , reinstalled titles, switched routers , switched cables , clear the 360 profile from the system. Best part , this all happened out of the blue. We played just fine 2 weeks ago with 0 issues.

    I've done every walkthrough , FAQ board , wiki thing and nothing works. The second I disconnect the ethernet cable , 360 games work.

    Help ? I'm totally stumped

    The BC team stopped working on 360 titles to bring all existing One games to series x. It is unknown if they will continue to work on 360 titles once series x releases.

    Hi,

    Yes, Series X users will be able play Xbox One S and Xbox X players online. You'll also be able to play the same BC 360 titles online the Xbox One plays.

    The only games not supported will be the Kinect titles.

    What game is it you are trying to play? Is it a 0g Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S title.

    There are two types of storage drives available for Xbox Series X|S consoles.

    The first one is the expansion card, Seagate and WD. This card has a dedicated slot on the console and allows you to store and play Xbox Series X|S titles, and also Xbox One, Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles.

    The second option is getting an external USB drive.
    However, with this option, you can store and play Xbox One, 360 and original Xbox titles, but for Xbox Series X|S games you can only store them and not play.
