Series X Wireless controller freezes with light on after August update

Series X Wireless controller freezes with light on while I am in party. Suddenly I can hear the other person but he could not hear me and I cant use the controller at all. I had to pull the battery to solve this issue.

This happened right after the last controller update of August few days ago. I have never had any issue with the controller. I have it for 9 month and it was perfect until this update.

Did anyone face this issue after the last update? Any tips?

Recently as you mentioned there was an update for the Xbox Series S/X controller, where this update is causing these issues, as it is a software issue this will soon be resolved with another update on the system. Thank you for your reply. Yes I beleive that the issue is with the update. I connected my controller to my laptop and i tried to update the controller again. Then the previous version returned back. Then ofc when i connected it to Xbox again, it asked me for update but i did not update it and i went to login button. The problem got resolved. I have to do that every time

But this is only a temporary solution until Microsoft fix the last update of the controller. 😫

In this case, it wouldn't be a bad idea to update your controller's firmware. You can do this on your Series X or your Windows 10 PC. To do it on the Series X, connect it using the USB cable and then go to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories, and then select the controller you want to update. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller. Then, select the Firmware version square, and then press Next to start the update process.

To do it on Windows 10, just download the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store. If you already have it installed, just run it. After opening the app, the procedure to update is the same one as on the Series X, press the "..." button and follow those steps.

Check if your controller works correctly after doing this.

Xbox Series S controller freezes and disconnects but the light on the controller stays on,
The problem happened to me a lot and the batteries are new, and i did power cycle, The device and the control were updated
