    Series X Suspend and Resume for Apps not Working?


    My One X would allow me to switch between apps, or between games and apps and those apps would stay loaded. For example, I would go from watching a show on Netflix, to checking Hulu to see whats on, and when going back to Netflix it would still be loaded and on the show I was watching where I could hit play and resume it immediately. I could go from Netflix, to a game, and back to Netflix and my show would still be open and paused.

    With my Series X, from day one it has not allowed me to do that. Every video app I use has to be loaded fresh, and brings to me to choose my profile in that app instead of bringing me right back to my show I was watching. Why is the One X able to do something the Series X cannot? Does anyone else have this problem?

    Games to be Added for Backwards Compatibility Xbox Series X

    Anything that currently works on Xbox one with very few exceptions will work on series X. If a game is not currently backwards compatible, the backwards compatibility program is currently suspended until after the series X launch with no guarantee to resume.

    New additioons to the BC program are currently suspended as the team is working on making sure everything works on Series X. If it resumes, it is up to the publisher to allow it, so asking Activision, who i believe holds the rights through Sierra is your
    best bet when and if it resumes.

    Don't hold your breath. The backwards compatibility program for Xbox 360 and original Xbox has been suspended for some time, with no information when or even if it will resume again. The BC team are currently hard at work with FPS Boost on the Series X|S.

    At this time, there are no firther additions to BC being made. While it may resume sometime after the Series X launch, this is by no means guaranteed. The team is currently verifying every single existing Xbox game that runs in the one works on Series

    Hi! Unfortunately, no new Backwards Compatible Games will be released until the new Xbox Series X releases. All BC work is now being done for the upcoming Xbox Series X. There is still no word if work on BC for Xbox One will be resumed after the release
    of the new console.
