Series X Shutting Off while playing NBA 2k21 Next Gen

i don't play nba i play halo. I ask question what's wrong with it ?

A lot of people playing on the Series S and X are having issues with the game frequently crashing to dashboard and, sometimes, even causing the console to switch itself off. The same happened with the next gen version of 2k21

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps

If you are still having the same issue, it’s possible that the local save for the game has become corrupted. If so, deleting the local save and re-syncing with the cloud might correct the problem.
First, delete the local save:
1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select My games & apps > See all > Games.
2. Highlight the game title, and then press the Menu button on your controller.
3. Select Manage game and add-ons > Saved data.
4. Select Delete all to remove the local save of this game, then follow the prompts.
After you delete the local save, restart your Xbox:
1. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller.
2. Select Restart console, then follow the prompts.
After you restart your Xbox, re-sync your saved games to the cloud. Your saved games are automatically stored in the cloud while you’re connected to Xbox Live.
Try playing the game again to see if re-syncing with the cloud corrected the game problem.

I have the same issue, i find it incredibly difficult to believe its a hardware problem though. As my series x runs every other X/S optimised game - from the new fifa to MS flight sim absolutely fine, hasn't shut off once, and if it was hardware, then why does it only occur in certain aspects of the game - as others and myself have experienced- it happens in brickleys gym or online - most notably for me online 5v5 - be it rec or myteam. Thankfully i am content with just playing career and park on next gen as i do have last gen as well. But still- this has been happening since 2k21.

Yes, I have installed new version of Xbox series X COD MW2 over the weekend and it looks like next gen performance. Also other games previously installed on my old Xbox one console run much faster (especially loading times) on the series X console. There is major gameplay differences with next gen and current gen versions of NBA 2K23, which is where I’m having the issue..?

Unfortunately, NBA 2K23 for Xbox One is only available to platforms: Xbox One

Xbox Series X|S, which means you won't be able to play the game on a PC device.

NBA 2K23 next-gen play is not available on PC. The only two console generations that permit next-gen play, are the PS5 and the Xbox Series X. This is mainly due to the reality that the PS5 and Xbox Series X provide the speed and technology for the game to function at its best.
