Series X/S controller stick drift

Unboxed my Series X in October. Stick drift within a month. My Xbox 360 Elite controller still works flawlessly after nearly 15 years.

The new controllers are garbage.

I received a custom Series C controller as a gift. It is out of warranty and just recently developed a nasty thumb stick drift. Microsoft zero help. Can this be repaired?

If you have a screw driver you need to remove your xbox controller and then clean where the stick drift is then put it back together and you have it fixed.

maybe do some research and look around for good companies that are willing to fix it for you. best buy is an ok place. iFixit is a good company but they dont have any parts for xbox yet

It can be repaired yes, but not trough Xbox services as they don't repair this devices, they replace them for a low cost

You can also try to adjust the dead zone on games and in the mapping options of the controller to reduce that drift

I'm sorry to here that sadly I had my elite series 2 controller do the same thing, it started with the x button and then the bumpers, I noticed stick drift of both the sticks, sadly when I went to the store to exchange it for another one they had no
elite series 2 controllers in stock, I switched to the Razer wolverine ultimate edition and so far its a great controller
