Series X/S Controller has severe input latency compared to Xbox One controller

Hi! So I've been waiting to replace my Xbox One controller with a new Series X controller to play on my PC. I did have a little bit of trouble getting the Bluetooth to work properly on the new controller, but the wired input seemed to work fine. I started
up Rocket League which is one of the main games that I use a controller for on PC. I was very disappointed when there was a large amount of input latency while playing. I plugged in my Xbox One controller and there is barely any latency. Not sure what the
cause of this is, but it has to be something wrong with the controller as the Xbox One controller works perfectly fine. Is there any suggested fixes for this?

Yes, it is possible to unlock the sound speed of Xbox Series X/S and Elite Series controllers through a software update. The update brings dynamic latency input to these older controllers, meaning it will send input data when it detects it in as little as 2ms when used with an Xbox Series console, rather than polling and transmitting at a fixed interval. 8ms

However, the ability to modify Software or Hardware is not within my capabilities.

Xbox Series X|S controllers are fully compatible with the Xbox One, One S and One X. Also the Xbox One controllers work on the new Series consoles.

Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X controllers work on Xbox Series X|S, and vice versa. However, Xbox 360 is on it's own, similar to the OG Xbox.

What's cool however is if you remote stream Xbox One, One S, One X, Series S, or Series X on, say, a PC, you can plug in a 360 controller and use it on the newer generation.

But no, newer controllers aren't supported on 360.
