    Update, did this on a second console with the same config so it looks like it is a soft boot issue with multiple drives and the Seagate in the mix.

    Ok

    So if I do a soft reboot it goes to the logo hangs and then reboots after the x button flashes. Fine then on, but the squawk and freeze is disconcerting. Repeats on any soft reboot.

    Here is the config

    Got a series x with the seagate 1tb expansion ssd, a samsung T5 1Tb and two western digital 5tb black 2.5 drives.

    Started the troubleshooting

    1 removed the samsung - still got hang reboot

    2 removed the wd black drives - still got hang reboot

    Removed the Seagate and plugged in 2 wd, fine

    Then the Samsung... still fine

    Put in the Seagate ssd - got the hang reboot

    Tried another Seagate as I got 2 (don't ask) and same hang

    It looks like any configuration with multiple drives and the Seagate causes a soft reboot hang as it tries to re initialize. Anyone else seeing this? No Seagate and multiple drives are OK. As in 3 external plus the internal. The Seagate and any external
    added causes the issue.

    All drives are recognized when it comes up and are playable. (Internal, Seagate expansion, 2 wd and samsung) So this just appears to be a polling glitch.

    Any thoughts?

    My Xbox Series X keeps crashing on start up?

    This is the thread where I documented the issue. It happens with a soft reset and I noticed it today with a start from power off.

    Cold reboot. Itl go away. Hold down the console logo power button till it restarts.

    "Can't read the update from the disc, please reinsert the disc to continue the update"

    Edited the post after restarting the console (said something about insufficient memory so rebooted to plug the HDD in).

    And yeah, haha. I was surprised to see it myself, if it worked off the bad I would be happy as larry :p

    Long story short, now it's hanging at the boot screen (xbox 360 logo)

    I'll leave it at the boot screen for a good while to see if anything happens.

    I, too, have the same issue. Microsoft Rewards app hanging on the start-up splash screen. Then error message "Oops, looks like something went wrong" Service Unavailable. Tried two separate xbox. One X and Series X. One enrolled for insiders. One not. Both have the same error.
