  1. Series X Resolution For Games Seems to be Higher?

I launched up NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered after not playing the console for 2 days or so, and everything looked different. UI elements of the game itself in races, like placement of the speedometer and weapon loadouts. Overall screen space seemed less cluttered. Background textures also seemed higher res.

Launched Hades, and same thing. I can see more of the map while standing in a location, and certain textures seem higher res.

So far every game I've launched is getting similar treatment.

No games were updated, my system settings are the same they've been, and the only change is an Alpha Ring Update. (Not Skip Ahead)

All I can think of is this possibly has something to do with the 4k UI update, but that's supposed to be for the UI, not games, and it's not even mentioned in the patch notes for the Alpha Ring patch I'm on, which is 22000.2192.210820-1630

I can't find a single other person experiencing or talking about this, and the mystery of it all is driving me a little wild.

It's an overall better experience, and I'd hate to find out it's some random bug that's gonna disappear next flight update.

Can anyone chime in as to what this could possibly be, or let me know if anyone else is experiencing this?

What is the different between hogwarts legacy series one version game disc play on the xbox series x?

The difference between Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions are usually, resolution is better, Graphics are smoother, frame rate is higher, and more stuff in the game is better. You can find more about the differences on youtube.

Why is my Xbox Series S having significant Frame Drops in certain games?

It depends if you are trying to push 4k resolution it isnt meant for 4k

It is meant for 1440p at 120hz at most but with highbdetails it's better for 60fps at 900p

Not all games support higher fps

Even on series x most games aim for 60hz at 4k

Dying Light 2 "Optimised for Series X not S"

    Hi,

    Untrue.

Dying Light 2 is optimised for Series S, but due to the open world nature of the game, it's not 60fps. The game runs at a fixed 1080P resolution (1920x1080) on Series S, whereas the One S operates at a rather low 864P (1536x864), not much higher than 720P.

Just factoring in resolution alone, Dying Light 2 is still better on a Series S than an Xbox One S.

One X has better texture and geometry detail, mainly due to having 4GB more RAM than a Series S.

    New xbox S video performance.

Yes it will run at 30 fps on the Series X as well.

The Series X has a number of other advantages over the Series S, not just a higher resolution. The Series X has 6GB more RAM than the Series S and more capable graphics hardware. The Series X can run Xbox One games that were enhanced for the Xbox One X and
    run them smoother.

Only Xbox 360 and original Xbox games that were enhanced For One X get enhanced on the Series S, but unlike that machine, they max out at 1440P. Xbox One games run as they did on the original hardware, but with their own enhancements I mentioned in my previous
reply such as smoother frame rates, unlocked resolutions and such.

For the time being, Series X and S are on par with each other frame rate wise, but only time will tell for future titles.

    I'm a PC gamer (i7 and RTX 2080) as well as a console gamer. I have a Series S because I couldn't get a Series X. When the X becomes available I'll replace it.

I've not connected my Series S to my TV, it's running off my Monitor. 1080P at 120Hz is great so far.

The great thing with these consoles is their content now follows you. when I get my Series X, only old games will work and work better.

Can I still play Hogwarts Legacy on the series x?

With the exception of Kinect titles, all Xbox One games work on Series X consoles. Your game will work just fine, better in fact than it did on your Xbox One, it just won't have the same graphics and higher resolution of the Series X version.

If your game is on disc, just install it as you did before. If it was a digital download, make sure you're using the same account on your new console to redownload it again from your library.
