    When someone sends an xbox in, what all do the techies check for? Because mine was listed as a mechanical noise, but another root of the problem was my fan, which was barely spinning as i believe it went out? Do they replace everything that isn't working right, because I just genuinely don't want any more problems with xbox. I spent 600 dollars on the system and got 2 months out of it and it wasn't even heavy usage, the fan would spin super fast for some games and then it started overheating etc...

    Hi TreverDepoppe, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    They will check everything on the Xbox, especially the listed problem but it would be best if additional information will be provided when we create an order on the box provided.

    They will attempt to repair the console but they will replace it if they can no longer fix it.

    I understand you have a question about sending your console for repair.

    I believe this would tamper the console and void the services since there is a tamper sticker inside the console where in if this gets removed, it would indicate that the console has been taken apart. You can still send it for repair but it would most likely be returned back due to it being taken apart before.

    This is the same issue I had with X Series X console. It's a hardware fault. You will need to get the console repaired or replaced under warranty.
