    Hi,

    I currently have an xbox series x that is outside of the warranty but isn't functioning correctly.

    I believe I have to pay the fee for outside of warranty repair, but I regularly open the casing to remove any dust from inside the device to prevent any overheating, however I don't want to pay the £284 if they'll consider this a violation of some kind of EULA.

    Is this likely to be rejected and microsoft keep the money or should I buy a new console?

    Hi TreverDepoppe, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    They will check everything on the Xbox, especially the listed problem but it would be best if additional information will be provided when we create an order on the box provided.

    They will attempt to repair the console but they will replace it if they can no longer fix it.

    I understand you have a question about sending your console for repair.

    I believe this would tamper the console and void the services since there is a tamper sticker inside the console where in if this gets removed, it would indicate that the console has been taken apart. You can still send it for repair but it would most likely be returned back due to it being taken apart before.
