    Series X Randomly Crashes Throughout The Day


    So when I go to work, I leave my system on to stream TV as background noise for our dog. Whenever I come home around 3-3:30, after being on for almost 8 hours, the system is still on, chugging along just fine. However, when we leave it on after that, and proceed to run afternoon errands, after coming home around 6pm, the system shuts off.

    Also, even after crashing while using the streaming apps, whenever I try playing Cold War, the system crashes while either booting up the game, or shortly after the game has completed its booting process. After I manage to manually turn the system back on, since the controller is rendered useless until I finish doing that, it hasn't had any issues. I just find it troublesome that the system has to crash before actually playing for me to use it with no issues. Anyone have any solutions??

    I tried that. It was originally in a surge protector but I inserted it directly to a wall outlet and still powers the series x down. Today, I was fine all day and even spoke with an Xbox agent. She called every 2 hours to see if it had crashed throughout the day. Soon as 10:00PM hit it shut me down back to back. Just ridiculous at this point. I need answers!

    Do you mean crashes as in switches off? or back to the Home Screen? My son has had 3 series x so far! The first two randomly switching off and Microsoft said to return for refund and this latest one was dropping the internet connection by going back to the Home Screen. It seems as though my wireless internet connection wasn’t good enough even though the series x is in the same room as router. I tried using an Ethernet cable connecting the series x directly to the router and not had a problem since! I would recommend trying this. I know its not ideal in the day of WiFi but it’s worked for us and my son is happy.
