    Series X random shutdowns, failed reboots, app crashes


    After recent Alpha OS update and even prior console shuts down randomly and has many App related crashes. Most recent while checking on Game info from Menu clicking into manage game and add-ons failed to load multiple times. An attempt to reboot the console while the window failed to load resulted in the reboot powering down the console but never powering back on, required manual power on as controller was unable to connect to console after. Once on controller would act as normal. This has been consistent for the last two updates and is occurring more frequently.

    Sounds like something crashed within the TV app itself. Does your OneGuide work? Have you tried a Hard-Shutdown of the console and rebooting? I assume something incorrect happened when it pulled channel data.

    As I stated in the original post, I have already tried all of the troubleshooting for this. It happens at very random times. I know it is not overheating because it has never been hot to the touch and after it turns off, it will run continuously afterward with no issue. I have tried using a surge protector and I currently have it plugged directly into the wall outlet. It is still a recurring issue.

    Xbox Series X Random Shutdown

    Update for May 8th, 2021, today my Xbox has turned off 3 times in the middle of a game. My screen goes black and then the Xbox beeps and turns off. The controller does not even turn off, showing that this shutdown is completely irregular and not proper. Can someone at Microsoft please help me?
