Out of all the gaming systems that i have owned nintendo , sony , microsoft , 3do , and all variations of the systems I am highly disappointed in the quality of the xbox hardware. 3 red rings of death made me leave and now im back with a series x and boy do i tell you it completely sucks.

I will start with the xbox app. Xbox app only recognizes that my xbox is set up for a limited amount of time and then randomly it thinks i have no xbox set up so i cannot preinstall or select games to preinstall from the app. And to fix this i have to factory reset and choose to keeo downloaded games and go through the set up process all over each time because when you try another way it either does not find the system or it gets stuck at a freeze. Its pathetic.

Download/install speeds

My xbox is hardwired at 1.5 gbps and still it takes ages to install and download a game that i need a sun dial to clock it. I can download and install an entire big game like call of duty in 8 to 10 minutes fully on my ps5. Are the devs taking lessons from nintendo ?

Black screens Currentky on expedition 33 it will randomly black screen for 5 minutes and then restart. Not sure about othergames because i do not play the xbox very much unless gamepass has some day 1 releases that i want to play that i would normally have to purchase on the ps5.

Controller input lag

The controller range and connectivity sucks. There is nothing more to say about it.

Remote play.

Again the app cannot keep the system registered as set up so there goes that.

Ive had the os5 since launch and have had zero issues with the system or the app. I did however have multiple controllers go for repair because of stick drift that they ended up resolving but my series x is a complete nightmare. The price tag on this thing should be 200 bucks. Please do better microsoft

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I want you not to worry about the situation because I am here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Since you have mentioned that your NAT type is moderate, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider in order to change your NAT type to open. Because the NAT type highly effects the live experience.

These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Hi CarlosParedes9 I would suggest returning to the place you purchased this while it's still within the warranty period. I would expect that if you've purchased the Halo Edition Series X then that is what should be repaired or replaced with the same if there are faults.

This seems to me like a Network situation, have you tried a different network? Like a hotspot with you mobile phone?

Try to remove your profile, then turn off the console and remove the power cord; wait for 1 to 2 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the console and sign in!

If the issue persists, I would strongly suggest trying the troubleshooting steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

Then select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

Also, It would be great if you can delete the local save of the game.

If the issue persists, try to soft reset the console!
