Series X problems please help.

Hi, I hope I can get help here, i don't really have social media so not sure where else to get Microsoft attention.

Got my Xbox Series X today and yes, i love xbox so i'm pretty forgiving for these problems, really hoping i can fix them without sending the console back.

1) Disk Drive just doesn't work. Straight up. I've restarted the console, pulled the power out, gone through the settings i am familiar with in the console. Genuinely, doesn't seem to read ANY disk i put in. I have tried Xbox One AND Xbox 360 games. On the
one S it shows the game on the home screen with a disk icon so you know whats in the disk drive. On the Series X it doesnt show the game, no disk drive symbol. It's just like the disk hasn't been enabled?? Any ideas on how to fix this, or will I have to return
it?? I picked the Series X over the S for the slightly larger storage space AND the disc drive because I have a large collection of old games, lost 50% of my reason to get an X over an S :/.

2) I genuinely thought the console bricked my monitor. I use my two pc monitors to play xbox, one can show 60 fps and one can do 120 so i hooked the series X up to the 120 fps monitor and it worked fine until I tried to switch back to the PC and the xbox
would not give up the screen. No biggy, i'll just turn the console off, even while off my PC could not display on the screen, so i thought the Xbox might be holding the monitor while it's sleeping incase i turn it on so it's ready to go quickly. Unplugged
the Xbox fully from the monitor, I could not get my PC to use the monitor. At this point i double check all cables, i go through turning the monitor off and on, same thing for the PC, I try everything I possibly can and this monitor is just dead. I plug the
Xbox Series X back in and now even the console cant get the monitor to display anything. The LAST thing i could possibly try ended up fixing it. I plugged my old xbox one S into the monitor, it displays that console, then it lets be switch back and forth with
PC again like nothing happened.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Im no tech guy but the only thought i've got is that the Series X might have tried to get my monitor to set up the perfect settings for the console and caused it to just fail or go outside of the settings my PC uses? Then the One S set the monitor back to
a standard setting that worked? Any suggestions or tips i'd appreciate it. For now I've hooked the series X up to the weaker monitor and just switching back and forth between the xbox's while i transfer games.
